‘Sleepwalking in Wick Wood I’ was photographed through a red plastic bag found lying on the pavement, just around the corner from my studio, on Kingsland Road. Wick Wood is a community woodland in Hackney, where I was moored during COVID-19 lockdown. This print is part of my new ‘Sleepwalking’ series. In this series, I use discarded waste found on the streets as a filter through which to photograph nature in urban environments.
